Back in college it was always fun to see a new group of kids that enter the LAN shop we were in and play the same games that we did. I would stand behind some of them and watch as they shoot acroos their screens in hopes of landing a bullet to their opponent or even a lucky headshot. It was really something, they had fun screaming “cheats, cheats!!” whenever they got killed and we had fun laughing at their lack of hand-eye coordination. But every once in a while there would be this geeky kid all by himself trying to roll with the big boys and as you would expect he’d get pwned everytime. And when I watch the gleam in his eyes start to wane everytime he gets knifed by my friends, I hear him mutter the words “this game is broken, I dont wan’t to play anymore.” At that point I would stop laughing and start to give him just a few pointers without being too intrusive.
